My HRM's finicky. Spit works Ok but it's kinda uncool at times. I want
to try the gel. Anyone have a USA web source?

I've spent most of my money on mountain biking and windsurfing.
The rest I've just wasted.

Is there any advantages of the gel over H20? I've been using just plain
water and seems to work fine.

The gel stays where you put it? In the summer, water isn't bad, but at
-10f, you don't want the water dripping and freezing. That's the only
detriment I can think of. I've been using gel, but perhaps I'll try the
water.

Even cheaper, and warmer: I spit on the electrodes (also, I fart in
their general direction). After 5 minutes the sweat is enough to
maintain problem-free transmission.

My friend got only two years out of his contact belt, from the saliva and
sweats breaking the rubber down. Which is why I only use H20.
I was also told to wipe down with water and dry out the electrodes
thoroughly after each ride, to prolong the life.
Not sure how long the gel stays on the contact even after you've wiped it
off thoroughly.

Of course.

Five minutes of farting would have most of us sweating.

Cut back a little on the capers.

I got a Tens gel a couple of years ago. It works, but I can't say it is
any more reliable than plain old spit.

Yeah, I bought the gel when I bought my first HRM. The good news is that
gel, used sparingly, lasts a long, long time.

Yeah, I'm sure there was no EKG gel before this product.

Sounds like a new fitness trend in the making: "The Carb-O-Blast Workout"

Have you tried potato salad, yet? I hear from Clovis Lark it also
makes a fine chamois lube.

I got it from the Lance Kronicles. He gave the recipe to Martha Gum...

ekg gel = $2.00 4oz
There was ekg gel before ekg.
