Test rode the Synapse Carbon along with the CAAD9, Six13, and few other bikes at a LBS yesterday and instantly fell in love with the Synapse. It's my first road bike, which I purchased in order to ride with my university's cycling team starting in the fall. I plan on doing quite a bit of racing in the spring, and while I've heard that the Synapse Carbon may not be the optimal race bike, I couldn't get past the comfort factor, so hopefully it will serve me well.

If anyone has any experience with or opinions on the Synapse Carbon, I'd like to hear your take on it, especially as far as it's racing potential. It'd be great to get a dedicated thread here for the Synapse.

I'll try to post a little eye candy in the next few days...

There is a big Synapse fan around here. I think his name is Bob.

It's a thing of beauty. Treat her well, then she will treat you good.

    Best luck,

Clipless pedal are on order, hopefully I'll have them within a few days. I wasn't even aware I had a "stem riser". Could you go into a little more detail as to what this is and its purpose?
