Just signed up and thought I would drop a big hello to everyone!

Question: I was wondering if a 250cm long seat post would be too short for my trek 1500 (58). Thanks in advance

The only way to really know the answer is to measure your current seat post while it's in your riding position and see if there woud be enough post left over to fit into the down tube safely.

A 250 cm seat post  , you must have some seriously long legs :D. Without knowing how long your legs actually are it's kind of hard to answer. As long as the minimum insertion mark is below the clamp it will be OK.

oops sorry about the 250cm  , I was basically trying to get the stock post specs. My stocker is a good legnth but i'm trying to pick up some parts from my brother who lives in Cali, and I live in Colorado so i can't compare.

Thanks again
