Hey, has anyone heard of/used a Steelwool bike?
They're made in Ottawa (I'm told...) and look pretty sweet.
I'd like to know what the general consensus about them is? I'm especially interested in their touring bikes.
Thanks,
f.

That's the thing: I never could find their site...
I was just shown pictures of the bikes and frames at my local bike shop, but never really heard anything else.
All I know is that they seem insanely luxurious (fully lugged steel frames, all campy components, + really seet extras galore and WAY under 2000 bucks...),
so I'd like to hear from anybody who's ridden one before I commit myself...

rack mounts, fender eyelets, slack geometry, long chainstays, and yes steel,
did you say touring?

Very nice!
However, I went for the steelwool in the end.
I picked it up yesterday from Dukes on Queen Street, Toronto and was cycling down Queen Street in heavy traffic, giggling like a moron with every gear change.... Ah, new bikes!
Next step, Manitoulin Island!
