Envious - that's the other guy on the podium. The one with the green glasses that seems to have found his dream "date."Not ripe enough for DurianRider - that and there's no compact chainring and powermeter included. Fcuk that [censored]!

I like.
Congrats.
Farking Ace!
Question: Why does no one ride in the drops anymore? Why bother having the drops? Hacksaw?
55kmh. Fark that. LOL. I did 28.6 mph (47kmh?) for 11 minutes to get a local Strava KOM on a flat section near home the other night and I was wheezing like a broken accordion. Then again, I am about 97Kg. 🙂 Mmmmmm Beer!

3 pretty decent bike riders in that photo. Steggles was old when I raced in the 90's, he'd have to be in his late 40's now and still flying, amazing! -
The whole Giro. Looks pretty easy, just get over these first!

Yeah. Should be fun. Playing the race card, Cuddles for a podium? Gord, it'd be tough being the bookie.Congrats on the win, Lama.
In other news, 'rhoids. Ow. No low hanging fruit, just a general incapacitating burning ring of fire. Not so bad when working, oddly enough, more just plain painful trying to relax. Or sleep. Or sit. Or type. Or not be a cranky [censored].
Anyone? Ultrasound? Or? I can't afford not to keep working right now while I've got a run on. So to speak. It's a shame Codeine is so hard to come by without ibuprofen or paracetemol to ruin the rest of your system, sometimes. And I'm not a painkiller abuser generally. When I've paid for a hangover I suck it up to hopefully stop me becoming a fullblown drunken loon.
But, owwww. Make it stop. -
you need a topical treatment - l would recommend EgoSoov which contains hydrocortisone and lignocaine. Once you've hit it with that, then zinc oxide paste (you can find it in the baby section at the supermarket) will protect from further irritation.
Oh yes, and has it been confirmed by a doctor that you have haemorrhoids? You're not just self-diagnosing?

Haven't been to a doctor for years. Rhoids but. Been there before. Family history too. Good chats those. Have had a low hanging purple grape previously, which the farking doctor stuck a scalpel through and then squeezed out the clot. That cost him a hole in the gyprock wall next to the table from my knee. Bled for weeks too. Proper pain. The kind you just plain forget. Ruined the planned weekend with a hot Melbourne lesbian back in the day. Oh well.
Proctosedryl for now, chemist stuff, but it lasts half an hour max. And whoever designed that nozzle is a sadist. Not that it's had much usage.
Time for a proper solution really. Google says ultrasound is the go these days? Rather than the archaic incapacitating methods?Cheers. Love you all.
-
I'm not that keen on Proctosedyl. Give the EgoSoov a shot - it's an over the counter prep, so no need for prescription.
Oh yeah, and keep your poos soft for the time being, so laxatives are the go - try Coloxyl. Also make sure you drink enough water during the day - dehydration can have you [censored] rocks.

Must say the name is appropriate. Amazing how fundamental the fundamental can be.

Ace. Ballarat has a pub dedicated to hemorrhoid sufferers. It's a sign beepers [IMG]cyclingforums.com400Open ↗[/IMG]

You're right, I should just go to the pub. I cracked on Saturday and took half a dozen painkillers then went to the pub and drank until I fell over. Must admit it worked in the moment. Probably not the best longterm solution though.

It was pretty obvious from the Kings Cross photo, but I thought it would be impolite to mention it at the time. [IMG ALT=""]http://www.cyclingforums.com/content/type/61/id/298999/width/350/height/700[/IMG]

Nails it.
Firstly, I forgot to watch or record Liege, but bollocks to his BMC theory.
Little Greggy Van Avermaet was in the break, or at least up the front more often than not in all of the previous spring classics, and more than once his team got on the front to chase him down inexplicably. Just a little more confidence in him from the team and one of them was his.Secondly, the beauty is in the fact that they're ONE DAY races, not Tours, and there is much beauty in the way individual racers deal with their legs and minds in the moment at hand, and even how their DS's in the cars do too, even when at cross purposes. Poor Greg. Nah, [censored] him, maybe, depending on the team goals. But still, point made. Gilbert was not there when he was.
Thirdly, the primadonnas have far too many "O'le" wheelsucker tantrum moments for the camera than they really deserve. And often when they're not even taking the biggest pulls on the front. Even in a crucial break. Get [censored].
ONE DAY RACE. [censored] and moaning, hesitating and expecting gets nothing. The plan is not always how it plays out. Rarely even. Sorry Sagan. And Boonen. And even Cancellara. Winner takes all.
