Tire question

I have just recently gotten into cycling since i picked up an older raleigh road bike and i noticed the sidewalls on the tire have cracked pretty significantly. The tire currently on there are 1 1/4 and I was wondering if I could put a 1 3/8 tire on to replace them or would they not be compatible? Thanks

As long as the bead diameter matches the rim there should be no problem.

If you're within your edit time limit, click the Edit button in the post, then click 'Go Advanced'. At the top of the next screen there is an option to delete the post, check that box, fill in the reason and click 'Save Changes' at the bottom.
