~ Sorry you've had a bad week.
~ I don't know if this is good or not, but today, in about two hours,
we
~buy our first home. PANIC. I'm most nervous about the walk-through
~because I'm afraid they may have left the place kind of dirty. When
~they showed the place, they had old food out and greasy spots all
over
~the kitchen. So yesterday, I bought tons of cleaning supplies, just
in
~case!

Best of luck! Don't worry about feeling poor--you get used to that
huge chunk of money going out every month and then you can breathe
again.
When I moved into my first home, I started by ripping up the filthy
orange shag carpet. The fleas didn't like that, so I had to go out
and buy some bug bombs. They had hidden 6 of their 7 cats before we
signed the papers. I also had to draino the tub from the cat hair
they left there from defleaing the cats before they left.
And 5 changes of water before the kitchen floor didn't turn the water
in the bucket opaque. I put down three coats of wax on the linoleum
before I could stand it.
Once you get past that, tho, you really feel that you own the place!
