I'm not sure but I think my mountain bike is 21 to 25 pounds. Sometimes the weight of your bike affect its performance.

Mine's just around 17 pounds. It's the easiest weight for my age. I like that it's light yet steady for every day use.

My new rig is about 17 pounds with disc brakes and an electronic group set.

Absolutely, Memph! I have a custom-built frame that was measured and designed specifically for me. It's made a huge difference in my performance and comfort on the track. It's definitely worth considering if you're serious about cycling! :)

Yeah so how much does your custom-built bike weigh? Those are normally made from steel and quite heavy.

My custom-built bike, Memph, is a feather compared to the mass-produced steel monstrosities you're referring to. It's crafted from a blend of high-tensile steel and lightweight carbon fiber, striking a perfect balance between durability and weight. It's not about the grams, it's about the design and materials. Trust me, it's a whole different beast on the track. It's not just about weight, it's about the right weight in the right places. It's a symphony of engineering and design, not a one-note melody of "lighter is better". But hey, you'll never understand until you've ridden one yourself. ;)
