Interesting. I'm going off 10-year old memories from when MA passed their
law, when there was a lot of angst about how people were supposed to get
from Connecticut to Vermont for deer season. I don't remember hearing
about the federal law. Mebbe I'll go see what I can dig up.

Keep working on me. I'm not against it. Will suggested an interesting
group but I just don't have time to add on a new hobby right now. And I
absolutely won't have a handgun in the house with my boys. I won't
budge on that one. But maybe in a mere 12 years...

BTW, my smallest boy (coincidentally 12 years from leaving home) wrote a
story about his cool brother and one of the things that made his brother
cool is that he's shot a deer. The brother has not actually SHOT a
deer, but he has done target practice and will be going hunting as soon
as he's legal. But he's already getting glory for it from his little
brother.
