Greg Lemond Rides Cyclocross

Greg Lemond rode last night at our weekly Cyclocross practice at the
velodrome in Marymoor Park. He arrived with one of our regulars seemed to
have fun blasting around the course.

He was extremely friendly and fit right in with the motley bunch that showed
up for the practice even though it was the huge holiday that Halloween has
become.

He did not grab any of the candy, but he did pay the fee.

If they could keep the camera out of his line of sight and if they'd
quit posting photos of him he'd be a lot better off.

Greg's basically a whiner who shouldn't be given a spotlight. Other
than that he seems a pretty nice guy.

He was great last night. He really seemed to enjoy riding and interacting
with the other riders. He happily answered questions, but didn't try to
hold court like some people do.

I started to write :
maybe we're gonna see Matt's website back up, bankrolled by Greg. I
think they go together well on the issue, and are about as rational.
Lafferty could be their legal consultant.
Then figures that maybe I should go check.:

Apparently it's now double secret squirrel for the true believers
'cause we are a distraction.

That *is* creepy. Pretty self-limiting too; he says he's got 40 members.

Decaino was all over the show with his upside-down 13 gear, and some
girl with him that was dressed in it as well. I ran into him a couple
times talking to various pros/ex-pros. I didn't see him at the race
though.

I was surprised to see Lemond talking with him for a WHILE. I'm sure
it was a "see - we're both so right" sort of discussion.
