5 people voted for the loser? Wonder why?

Isn't that particular attribute a requirement in order to be a successful

I'm an elementary school art teacher and was in the classroom today
preparing for the new school year. Just cleaning out cupboards,
unpacking new art supplies, etc. As I moved a stack of old newsprint I
noticed the headline: _Pumped Up Prices_ followed by a picture of the
prices at the pump. Unleaded regular was $1.59 in February 2003.

That's ~*ONE*~ fifty-nine. And a tiny pic of OBL was on the front page,
too. It's a crazy world. :-(

And, recently, a convenience store owner was killed as he - yes,
stupidly - attempted to stop a drive-off. A so-called customer pumped
$52 of fuel and began to drive away from the pump without paying. The
owner grabbed onto the side of the vehicle, fell away, and was run over
by its rear wheel. The driver never stopped.

Nothing. Nader's stock fraud (insider trading) was much earlier.

matter.

So, in you "mind", unsupported allegations equate to

In 1965, the average income was $5300, the average house cost $12,500,
average car $2800 and gas was 0.27/gal. Now gas is almost 10x as much but
the average inome has only risen to $37,000 (7x). I don't have the figures
but seems to me that cars and houses are also at least 10x higher. But we're
all better off - ask any politician.

What is worse is that the average income is for families, and most are
two earner families. So in reality the income has gone down, while
costs have gone up.

You might also want to consider mpg in there, as well as the square footage
of your "average" home. I think you might notice some differences.

Fer sure! My 1968 GTO could pick the left front tire up leaving the line if
I did my part, seated 5 comfortably, and was !FUN! - but it only got 12MPG.

There are plenty of brand-new 2005/2006 passenger vehicles on the market
that get comparable fuel mileage to your '68 GTO.
