You can't fool me. Those aren't the wolves that raised you. I recognize
them. They are the Rove wolves that did in J. F. Kerry.

Slow Joe,

If you do not quote the relevant portion of the post you are referring
to, no one will know what you are writing about. Gurgle Gropes [1]
strikes again?

I do not know why this a new thread as it properly belongs in another thread
which is presently on-going. We should not be proliferating threads for no
reason.

This should have been an email to Mr. Sherman of course. First of all he
addresses it to a specific person. Secondly, he has not included any of the
relevant preceding post so no one will know what he is talking about. And
thirdly, he has top posted which is OK for e-mail but it is definitely not
OK for Usenet. There are many others on his group who are constantly
confusing e-mail with Usenet. I wish some of these slow Joe's would get up
to speed.

The truth is it takes a bit of time and effort to correctly compose a
message to Usenet. Those who don't do it the right way are lazy and
basically have no consideration for others. It is only their own convenience
that counts. They think the world revolves around them and that the sun
rises and sets only on their head. Try to get used to living in a society of
others why don't you?

I do not proliferate threads. I am strictly a responder. If I started
posting original threads I would totally ruin this newsgroup, so that is why
I do not do it. I would be even worse that Johnny NoCom.

I note that Mr. Sherman is also strictly a responder. So I feel like I am in
good company.

Ah Ed,

Last I checked, increase doesn't mean start. You do proliferate threads
Ed as in escalate, expand, mushroom, and of course snowball. Then
again, I'd expect a flake to expand into a snowball. <couldn't resist>

And now I'm guilty of the same proliferation. Exiting, stage left. Or

By the way, your newsreader (Google?) is not indicating who is saying what.
Frankly, I am too lazy to make the necessary corrections, other than to

You and your son Tom proliferate the thread within the branch. Many
times you have responded to a thread in your negative manner thereby
causing the thread to branch into a discussion that had nothing to do
the the thought the writer was trying to convey. The thread then
multiplies. It is because of mainly you and your son that ARBR is a
shell of what it once was.

Do you understand what the term "proliferate" means and the various
ways it can be applied? If you continue to deny that you "proliferate"
what does that make you? A liar? Ignorant? Both?

Enjoy,

As long as the messages stay within the thread, there is no proliferation
going on. My negative manner is what gives some life to this newsgroup. Note
well this past week where the group has died and gone to hell. Only
controversy keeps the group alive. The ONLY sin on a newsgroup is to be
deadly dull, something of which you are constantly guilty. If you want to
die, then go somewhere else and die by yourself.

If and when the thread multiplies, that is due to others starting a new
thread. I NEVER do that! Mr. Sherman will occasionally do that because he
believes the subject has wandered. My policy is never to start a new thread.
I will stay on the same old thread until hell freezes over.

ARBR is far better now that it ever was before. Even when it has become as
dull as hell due to jerks like you, it is still better than it was when all
those g.d. liberals were posting their nonsense.

For Christ's sake, don't you ever get tired of calling other liars? I DO NOT
PROLIFERATE THREADS, YOU G.D. JERK! Others proliferate the thread and then I
respond to whatever they have posted regardless of the thread. OTHERS are
proliferating the thread, NOT ME!

Regards,

Ed Dolan - Minnesota

PS. By the way, when Mr. Tom Sherman stops posting to this newsgroup it
quickly goes to hell. That is because his posts are intelligent and lively
and he is helpful with information to newbies and sophisticates alike. That
is more than can be said for you.

Your negative manner has killed this newsgroup!

Your continuous off-recumbent, negative attacks is one of the reasons
this recumbent group has "died and gone to hell."

Non-recumbent controversy killed this group!

A few months ago you started a thread about me! So much for "I NEVER
do that!" I guess this is another instance where you are a liar!

This is a Usenet group about recumbents. I would estimate less than 5%
of your responses are about recumbents. You are violating Usnet
policy! You don't understand what Usenet is about!

The people who talked recumbent talk have left this group because of
you, Tommy and others who constantly refuse to talk recumbents! I know
if we took a poll of all the people who have left ARBR in the past two
years and those still here you would be the "jerk."

You proliferate threads. Look at all the threads with the words Ed
Dolan in the subject line. These were created because of you. In
addition, look at all the non-recumbent responses you have written
yourself!

You DO PROLIFERATE THREADS!

Your lack of understanding is why you can be defined as ignorant!

I'll agree that Tom can be an excellent writer. Unfortunately, Toms
non-recumbent activity is a mirror image of yours. Tom can be short
and concise, whereby your responses are best described as massive
diarrhea!

You need to look up my posts when ARBR was about recumbents before you
make these statements. This also shows your ignorance!

It is numskulls and morons like you that bring out my negative manner. I
have no patience for fools. I for one am delighted that Cetus Lee and all
those other pompous idiots (many from Florida) have left this group. They
were not only pompous, but they were boring besides. Good riddance.

only good for spite.

your limited brain power if you can.

I once started one thread? So sue me!

But weren't you the jerk who looked me up on the web to see where I was at
and then posted that information to the group. You are just too jerky and
nerdy for words!

I understand it is not about being dull and boring - which is all you are
ever good for. Why the hell don't you go to BROL and stay there if you want
to be on topic all the time?

Those assholes who have left this group were all a bunch of dirty rotten
liberals who were always posting their g.d. political nonsense here. Good
riddance to the lot of them - or did I already say that once or twice.

If threads are created because of me, then that is to my credit. I did not
and do not create them. But I shall of course respond to whatever is posted
regardless of the subject thread. But please note that I do not create new
threads. I cannot be responsible for what others decided to do with my posts
to the group. That is out of my hands.

I do not post long messages. In fact, my posts are exactly the right length,
consisting of at most two or three medium length paragraphs. I do not post
single sentences as that is the hallmark of an idiot. Most who post like
that are concise to the point of not making any sense at all. If you only
have a single sentence or two worth to say, then you do not have enough to
say to make it worthwhile for anyone to bother reading it. Mark Leuck is the
worst offender in the universe on this score. He needs to be taken out to
the wood shed and given a good beating about his fat head or his fat butt -
as I am not sure where his brain is located.

I think I have been here about 2 years now. What do you expect me to do, go
back and look up **** here on this newsgroup? Perish the thought!

It's easy! No one wants to be with you! This is something people like
you never understand. It's called denial!

You have started more than one thread. Do you understand what the word
"NEVER" means, especially when you write it in CAPS? Poor use of the
English language.

I didn't look you up on the Internet. You e-mailed me and told me you
were from Worthington. This is the second time you have brought this
up. Are you senile?

Why don't you go to a political discussion group? At least then you
would meet Usenet policy. This is a group for recumbents.

They left because of the lack of recumbent talk! Replace the word
"liberals" and you are talking about you!

Liar!

Tom doesn't make any sense? Tom posts this way all the time.

Then you shouldn't have made the statement. Didn't they teach you
anything in college? Don't you know how to research? Don't you know
how to write? Please at least base your statements on fact! Anyone
can write fiction. You've proved that!

No, I took note of this phenomenon long before I began to post to the group.

But how is it possible to drive anyone off of a newsgroup? Those who leave
leave of their own volition. Someday I will leave this group too and it will
have absolutely nothing to do with what anyone is saying or not saying. I
will simply leave because I have lost interest. Surely that is how it works
for everyone.

A newsgroup, as Jon Meinecke never tires of telling us, is what everyone
makes of it. If you want to read interesting messages about recumbents, then
write some interesting messages about recumbents. If they are interesting
enough, I will read them and I may even respond to them. Some of you want to
be entertained by others without contributing anything yourself. A newsgroup
does not work like that. A newsgroup is what YOU make of it, not someone
else.

Perry's post here is a prime example of what is wrong with this group. All
he knows how to do is to spite me - which must be extremely boring to
everyone else here. This has all been hashed over so frequently in the past
that even I am tiring of it. The only thing about any of this that makes any
sense to me is that he is jealous of me. But why should he care? We are all
strangers here to one another and I assure you, one and all, that I don't
give a damn about any of you, at least not on a personal level. I most
especially don't give a damn about Perry Butler, whoever the hell he is!

Perry professes a concern for the health of the group and then goes on post
after post to accuse Mr. Sherman and I of wrecking the group. He could
better insure the health of the group if he would post some interesting
messages about recumbents instead of wasting his time, my time and everyone
else's time with his present nonsense.

I will do my part to keep the group healthy by bringing balance here to
anything reeking of politics and/or other absurdities. Perry could
contribute something too it seems to me instead of acting like a jealous
spoiled child.

How many times do I have to tell you that I am not lonely before you are
going to believe me? I take pride in my negativism. It shows that I am a
thinker and do not follow the herd like a sheep. As for getting old, that is
a desired state for all of us unless you would rather die young.

I got quite a laugh out of this bit of Perryism. I could easily have as many
friends as I want but I have never known what friends are for. They
invariably will turn out to be a pain in the you know what and I just don't
need them. But I suppose if you need friends, then you should acquire them.

I probably started that thread in retaliation for one of your assininities.
In fact, now that I think about it, that is precisely how it happened. You
were calling me a liar in a new thread with that word associated with my
name in a subject heading and I got fed up with your ****. By and large, I
NEVER initiate threads.

What gets said in an email is private and not for posting to a newsgroup.
That is why I call you a jerk and a nerd for not observing something so
elementary. If and when you want to post something to a newsgorup that was
said in an email, you should first ask permission.

If and when I say something about recumbents it is of such import that the
group needs too know. But I am mostly here to make damn sure that liberals
don't take over this group like they had when I first came aboard about 2
years ago.

Anyone who comes here can post all they want about recumbents. I will not
interfere with such posts. They left because I would not let their political
comments go unchallenged. That was my mission when I came here and it is
still my mission. If you do not want to tangle with me, then keep your
liberal politics to yourself. I am strictly a responder. I do not initiate
threads on politics (or any other subject either except rarely).

Asshole!

Yes, and I have taken note of that too. Tom is not really up to my high
standards. He is an engineer and I am an artist. There is no virtue in
brevity just as there is no virtue in being longwinded. I strike the perfect
mean. Others would be well advised to follow my example if they wish to
enter the sacred halls of Valhalla, the domain of gods and intellectuals
like myself.

A man of few words is invariably a man of few thoughts.

I have known you via this newsgroup for approx. 2 years now. That is long
enough and I know everything about you that I will ever want to know. The
day I look up any post of yours is the day that hell will freeze over. Try
to get real, why don't you?
