I will agree about unsustainable archaic industries which needed to be revised, and appropriately were to some degree; and oddly enough I can talk with some awareness about the vehicle building industry in Britain, which was again to some degree hobbled by unionism and is also often blamed on socialism, but really it wasn't socialism, so let's leave that for another argument. No doubt Britain was troubled and trying to come to terms with lost relevance militarily and industrially in a world where it's class system and Empire had so recently been systematically dismantled and bankrupted by an ruthlessly aspirational USA, and they weren't doing well at the time and needed a shakeup;
but no doubt about it, Thatcher was a ****. All the above aside, one only has to see how she handled Ireland alone to come to that conclusion.

Sorry but I don't love you as much now as I did when your early posts were simply immature and weird. That was endearing for a while. I probably had some kind of monopoly on such **** for a while myself. We do have a responsibility to mature even just a tad as we grow older though. Although flagrancy a la Classo will endure a lifetime. But that manboy is much smarter and subtler than us mere mortals.
Of course I don't know your age, and situation, and yes, the odd mysogynist joke, amongst other redeeming posts is absolutely tolerated here, and perhaps even encouraged; but maybe the bar has been getting lower lately here in general.
Anyway, I do hope you can do better in the future. It's not that hard really to think how to add that little bit of something that lifts the sentiment, once in a while.

Ireland wasn't "handled". Politicians in Brit-land were too apologetic and all of them lacked a descent sized pair of hairy plums. It's been 20 years since the Warrington bombing that targeted women and children with two planned explosions - one to shepard people off towards the second bigger bomb in an iron garbage can, just for added shrapnel. **** like that deserved a big response but in typical British style, nothing was done. As was the norm, no one was ever implicated. Nothing was done. Statements were released and people forgot or just never really seemed to care. The IRA were, and still are, the scum of the earth, whether you just look at it from the perspective of modern day events or taking in war time (WW1 and WW2) actions against the British and the Allies and their subsequent involvement with the Nazi intelligence agencies. It was weird lama. I got home from work and put my classy 'freeze gopher' t shirt on because I had a hot chick calling in and wanted to dress up to impress her. That didn't work out as planned, bloody philistine. So I put the tv on, channel surfed and saw caddyshack was on. It was irony or karma or fate or something.
